Funded by "European Regional Development Fund" (ERDF)
Thanks to a grant from the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the 2021-2027 programme ‘Expansion of research and innovation capacities and the introduction of advanced technologies’ - Improvement of application-oriented R&D capacities at universities and research institutions, we were able to purchase a new HPLC system from Knauer in 2025.
The device purchased is an Azura HPLC system with fraction collector. The system consists of a binary Azura P6.1 L pump with mixer and degasser, which allows a maximum flow of up to 50 ml/min and a pressure of up to 1000 bar. In addition, there is a coolable analytical autosampler, e.g. for temperature-sensitive samples or to enable increased sample throughput during the night, two column thermostats with upstream column valves, e.g. to enable the development of new analytical methods in research in addition to simple routine analysis, an Azura RID 2.1L refractive index detector, which can be used for universal detection by refractive index for isocratic methods, and an Azura DAD 2.1 L diode array detector, which is suitable for analytical, semi-preparative and preparative applications. As a special feature, the system includes an FC6.1 BIO analytical fraction collector for the additional automated collection of specific fractions of interesting compounds or reaction products on a smaller scale.
The working group now has a modern HPLC system that can provide valuable support in dealing with analytically challenging issues and will also be useful in future research.
